According to ancient folklore, desire for gold can corrupt a person to such a degree that they are transformed into a dragon, destined to brood bitterly over their hoard until the end of time. Few mythical figures exemplify this better than Fafner. And few dragon slayers are more legendary than Fafner’s nemesis Sigurd.
