Arabic burial sites and wildernesses are haunted by horrific cannibalistic spirits called ghouls. These are malicious, ravenous beings that often dwell in abandoned houses and ruins. Ghouls live exclusively on human flesh and spring from their hiding places to attack unsuspecting desert wanderers. Their favourite meal is children, but if no live prey is avail- able they dig up graves and feast on corpses instead.
