Lamia is a demonic vampire originating from Greek myth. According to the legend she was once a stunningly beautiful Libyan queen who had the misfortune of becoming one of the many lovers of the notoriously unfaithful Zeus. The sky god’s wife Hera was prone to jealousy and exacted a dreadful revenge every time her husband strayed. Zeus hid Lamia in a cave to keep her from falling into his wife’s clutches, but cunning Hera found her eventually. The stories vary from this point, but all versions agree that it is far from a happy ending...
